How to get perfect skin

The secret to youthful, healthy, blemish-free skin is to ensure your diet is balanced and rich in the correct nutrients. You can boost your skin’s health and vitality by following these easy tips.

Water is the skin’s best friend! – Try hot water with a slice of lemon in the morning and drink around 2 litres of pure water every day.

Balance blood sugar levels – To stabilise this and make sure you have perfectly clear skin eat protein with carbohydrates and choose unrefined carbohydrates.

BREAKFAST:
Fresh berries, live natural yoghurt & pumpkin seeds
Combine fresh seasonal blueberries and raspberries with some low fat live natural yoghurt and pumpkin seeds.
Skin Benefit
Berries are high in Vitamin C, which will help protect the skin from free radical damage whilst pumpkin seeds are high in Omega-6 oils that can help regulate the skin’s oiliness.

LUNCH:
Grilled chicken and Puy lentil salad
Use baby spinach as a base and top with cooled puy lentils, grated carrot, lemon juice and free-range chicken.

Lentils and chicken are a good source of Selenium – great for healthy skin and hair.

DINNER:

Roast salmon with roasted vine tomatoes
Roast the salmon and tomatoes; serve with basil pesto coated baby potatoes.

SNACKS:
Fresh Gazpacho & Almonds:
Blend cucumber, tomatoes, red pepper, garlic, spring onions and basil with olive oil and red wine vinegar. Serve cold, topped with almonds.

Raw ingredients are packed with anti oxidant vitamins and minerals. The almonds are a good source of essential fat which will help build and repair skin cells and heal blemishes.

SNACKS:
Balsamic Strawberries with Mascarpone Cheese:
Marinate the strawberries with balsamic vinegar and mix a little mascarpone cheese with a little low fat live natural yoghurt.

Live, natural yoghurt will help provide the gut with friendly bacteria to aid digestion.
