RatedHydrocortisonefor Addison's DiseaseReport

It keeps me alive and gives me the energy I need to do my daily tasks, so I can't complain. Personally, I liked dexamethasone better because it was promoting weight loss (which I badly need) and I felt a bit more normal/energetic than I do on hydrocortisone, but my doctor says that dex is not a good choice for life-long use because of a higher risk of side-effects. So hydrocortisone it is.

RatedHydrocortisonefor Adrenocortical InsufficiencyReport

I have been taking 7.5 mg every AM and 2.5 mg every afternoon for 6 years since having my right adrenal gland removed due to a benign tumor. I can tell when I don't take it, I get edgy and tired by mid-afternoon. It apparently is a life-saver for me.

RatedHydrocortisonefor Adrenocortical InsufficiencyReport

This medication I have to take for the rest of my life because of my adrenal insufficiency that I have. I have found that it's not harsh on the stomach after your body gets use to it. When I first started taking this medication I would suffer from diarrhea. But that goes away.

RatedHydrocortisonefor Interstitial cystitisReport

Solu Cortef I have found this very effective in my rescue instills. Since it can be ordered in the 1mL vial with no preservatives, it has made a major difference in my pain! I was using kenalog but had bad after pain because of the preservatives. Now with the solu cortef I get immediate relief from flares. My doctor allows me to do 1-2 a week.
