Hamilton Beach Set 'n Forget 33967A Review
Set ‘n Forget Slow Cooker – Review
This isn’t your grandma’s slow cooker. The Hamilton Beach Set ‘n Forget is the rebooted version of that gotta-have appliance, making healthy meals easy and convenient no matter how packed the schedule is. Here’s why we love this slow cooker:
- Big size: This 6-quart delight easily allows us to make supersized meals—the healthy kind! Feed a large family or make dinner for a smaller one with plenty of leftovers. The roomy crock also makes this model ideal for cooking larger pieces of meat, like turkey breasts or whole chickens.
- Programming ease: We love that Set ‘n Forget allows us to program cooking times with a digital control panel. Simply set the cooking time, and the slow cooker will shift to “Warm” when the cycle is done—great for those days when you’re running late! But what about non-programmed cooking? Yes, it has manual mode, too, for no-fuss meal prep.
- Probe mode: Guesswork, be gone! No need to constantly lift the lid (which slows down the cooking process) to check the internal temperature of large meat cuts. Probe mode lets you use the included temperature probe to test for doneness. Once the desired temp is reached, the cooker switches to Warm.
- Cook ‘n go: Forget messy transports…the Set ‘n Forget is designed to be on the go. A clipped, sealed lid keeps the top secure so the car and clothes stay mess-free. It’s the perfect solution for feeding any group, from a team of teenage boys to the volunteers at the local firehouse.
